Conversation Dinners
A typical Conversation Dinner begins with the seating of guests around small tables in groups of about 6 to 8 people. Following introductions and opening remarks from a CLRG representative, guests are invited to serve themselves a delicious, catered buffet-style dinner.
Each table is provided with questions for discussion. These questions often focus on matters of campus life or relevant current events and invite guests to engage one another. The Conversation Dinner concept began in the fall of 2000 after a racially charged incident and were designed to bring various sectors of the campus community together for dialogue.
